These are the topics we focus on with our project “Diverse Minds, Creative Sparks” (DiMiCs), (2025-1-PL01-KA210-YOU-000354049). The partners are: Strefa Inspiracji i Rozwoju from Poland, Creativity and Educational Studio “ARTIED” from Bulgaria and EYHDA from Turkey.
The project’s general objective is to support social workers, occupational and art therapists, educators, special needs teachers and other professionals working with young people with special needs, and to provide them with practical training techniques and tools, including creative and basic gardening skills, so that they can diversify their daily therapeutic work. We also want to increase the skills of therapists and families of these young people to create therapeutic activities themselves, aimed at the specific needs of young people with mental and/or intellectual disabilities, as well as to increase the interest of young people themselves to turn these activities into their future professional pursuits.
During the project we will:
- Develop a Toolkit for therapists/educators with descriptions of 15 art and horticultural therapy techniques, along with a “Tutorial Kit” in a form of short videos.
- Organise 15 training sessions for educators.
- Organise 15 intergenerational workshops for caregivers and young people.
- Run a campaign for dissemination of results, including organisation of a conference meeting in each partner country.
